Since March 2019, there is help for long-term unemployed people over the age of 52 who have exhausted their unemployment benefits. The support that will be increased from 2023 as agreed upon in the state’s general budgets.
So far, the aid has been set at 463.21 euros per month, but with the increase in IPREM scheduled for January 2023 it will rise to 480 euros per month, the amount being calculated on the basis of 80% of this indicator.
It is assistance that can be requested from the age of 52 until the age of retirement, when the beneficiary will be able to process his pension.
Conditions for benefiting from assistance are as follows:

Be 52 years of age or older at the time of the request for assistance, which is granted to persons in any of the following situations:
After the unemployment benefits are exhausted. Be a returning immigrant to Spain and have worked for at least 12 months in the past six years in countries outside the European Union; you have been in prison for more than six months and are not entitled to unemployment benefit; have been declared or declared to be fully capable or a person with a permanent partial disability as a result of a review file to improve a significant disability status; You are in a legal status of unemployment and are not entitled to a paid unemployment benefit, having contributed at least 90 to 359 days of unemployment.
You have been registered as a job seeker for a period of one month and have not declined any suitable offer of employment in that period, nor have you refused to participate, except for good reason, in the procedures of promotion, training or professional transfer.
Comply with the activity obligation contained in the support request.
No private income of any kind that is higher than 75% of the minimum salary for professionals in the monthly calculation
Proof that on the date of the causal event and on the date of the benefit application you meet all requirements, except for age, to access any type of contribution-based pension to the Spanish social security system and that you have contributed a minimum of 6 years throughout their working life
The request for assistance can be submitted at the electronic headquarters of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), at the Benefits Office (by appointment), at any public registry office or by administrative mail.
The documents that must be submitted for the request for assistance are simple: the national identity document in the case of Spanish citizens or the certificate of the citizen of European Union countries and passport, or the foreign identity card and passport; Any document that reflects the account number held by the applicant and proof of income if requested by SEPE.
